In July and August, the Murray River Ceilidh Committee, UPEI Women Soccer Panthers and Gingerwood Estates lent their support to the campaign to raise money for the purchase of myelectric hands for Mohamed Mara.
Summertime is proving to be a good time for the Friends of Mohamed and their campaign to raise money for the purchase of a pair of myolectric hands for Mohamed Mara. Many individuals, including summer visitors, have taken time to drop off or send in donations to the campaign. The Murray River Ceilidh Committee hosted a ceilidh on July 17, raising 750.00, and the UPEI Womens Soccer Panthers had a successful fund-raising tournament on August 1. The Gingerwood Estates annual Charity Equestrian Event also lent its support.
