Fair trade is about providing farmers with a decent income and a dignified living. It encourages co-operation in the global community between farmers, businesses and consumers, and seeks to prevent the exploitation of people who produce the food we eat. For more information go to “Food for Thought” on Facebook or call Stuart or Emily at Cooper Institute, 894-4573, or email cooperinstitute@eastlink.ca.
